We aim to provide a one off selection of Quality Hand Made Bonsai Pots. Each one is unique and can not be recreated so you would own a true One off Pot. Many of these pieces are Ceramic Art and can be enjoyed either with a tree in or in their own right for decorative purposes, a reflection of the Art form of Hand building fine pottery.
Hi welcome to my website.
If you want to find a your FAVOURITE POTTER and not scroll through the pot shapes THEN SIMPLY ENTER THE POTTERS NAME INTO THE SEARCH BOX AND SEARCH, all their pots on this site will then appear
I am initially listing by pot shape, it is easier for me as all the round are stored together, oval stored together etc.
Some of the pots featured on this site are in the region of 40 years old and withstand consideration as pure works of art reflecting the skill and creativity of their creators in the ceramics field. They would adorn any tasteful surrounding either with or without a Bonsai tree within them. These pieces of art are an appreciating asset as their creators either retire, create smaller pieces of work or sadly pass away.
THIS SITE WILL BE FULLY BUILT BEFORE THE END OF OCTOBER 2012; IF YOU DO NOT INITIALLY SEE WHAT YOU WANT PLEASE BOOKMARK THE SITE AS IT WILL BE IMPROVED AND POT IMAGES INCREASED ON A DAILY/ WEEKLY BASIS, as i have somewhere in the region of 300/500 handmade pots to picture and catalogue that are going to be offered for sale. I only have 1 of each to offer so if you see what you want my suggestion would be 'get it whilst its there' these items will not be repeatable as they are from a huge private private collection. I am not a pot manufacturer just an ex-avid collector, i hope they reflect my personal taste and eye for quality and the sheer brilliance of the creator.
This site and all the products available are the result of many years of collecting Handmade Bonsai Pots. I have always found them intriguing and as a sub section of our fascinating hobby 'Bonsai', equally valuable, you would not buy an expensive painting and frame it in a poor or sub standard mass produced frame. Each and every Handmade pot is unique and irreplaceable in its own right. Some of these pots are now unobtainable as their creators have either retired, only produce to individual commission or sadly in certain cases passed away. All potters represented offer quality products at comparable if not more competitive rates than their Japanese contempories.
What first caught my attention was the ultimate craftsman ship, eye to detail and sheer perfectionism of their creators, many of whom I have counted as friends over the years.
You will find Handmade pots created by: Bryan Albright, Derek Aspinall, Ian Baillie, Dan Barton, Gordon Duffett, Erin Pottery, John Pitt, Tongre Ceramics, Wallsall Studio Ceramics amongst others.
It is now with great sadness I have to split up my collection as time moves on and so must I. It is for this reason, and only this reason I now offer my cherished pots for sale. You will be able to buy through this website part of my obsession and some would say my life. In fact some pots are of great historical interest to the bonsai pot collector, as they are some of the very first pots produced by now internationally recognised potters.
I hope you enjoy the images available on this site and even if you do not make any purchases they inspire you and open up a whole new world of interest to the serious bonsai enthusiast.
If you require additional information on any items listed please do not hesitate to contact me via email.
QUANTITY DISCOUNTS MAY BE AVAILABLE PLEASE EMAIL FOR DETAILS.
Thank you for visiting and looking at my collection. It is the first time it has been imaged and catalogued. Lastly a major thank you to all the TRUE ARTISTS who have created these fantastic pieces of original and unique formats of ceramic art, you deserve the real praise for all the countless hours of practice/production/experimentation and obvious labour of love invested, you are the real conduit of such beauty.
